Idella Elaine Taylor Starkey

Idella Elaine Taylor Starkey passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on March 29, 2016 in SLC, UT. Born to George and Rena Newcomb Taylor in Nutley, New Jersey on February 4, 1935, raised in Niagara Falls, Canada. She married Bernard Howard Starkey on May 12, 1956 in Pontiac, MI; later sealed in the LDS Washington DC Temple.

Idella is survived by her husband, Bernard; children, Stephanie (Dale) Smith, Matthew (Penny) Starkey, Jeffrey Starkey, Jennifer (Scott) Johansson, Ben (Kirstin) Starkey, Rachel (Reed) Wright, Laura (Rick) Baker; 22 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren with one on the way; and sister, Beverly (Richard) Robida. Preceded in death by parents; daughter, Rebecca Starkey (stillborn); sister, Esther Buckosky; and brother, Edward Taylor.

Funeral services will be held Monday, April 4, 2016 at 11:00am at the Cottonwood 13th Ward, 1830 East 6400 South, with a visitation Monday morning 9:30-10:30am prior to the service. Sunday evening visitation 6:00-8:00pm at the Holbrook Mortuary, 3251 South 2300 East. Interment will be at the Mount Olivet Cemetery, SLC.
