Iven Martinez

February 22, 1948 — May 8, 2024

Our loving husband, father and grandfather, Iven Martinez, age 76, was born on February 22, 1948 in Alameda, CO and peacefully passed away surrounded by family on May 8, 2024 in Murray, Utah.

Iven grew up in Grand Junction, CO with his brother and six sisters who adored their baby brother. When Iven started junior high, his family moved to Salt Lake City, where he went on to meet the love of his life, Judi. They were married on May 4, 1968 and had two boys together. Iven loved his family more than anything, they were his pride and joy. We will miss his laughter, love and guidance.

Iven served his country from January 1969 to January 1970, receiving a Medal of Commendation.

He is survived by his two sons, Shawn (Amanda) and Brent (Tracy), his grandchildren Alexandria, Michael (Marcella), Camron, Dallas and Nicolas, his great grandchildren Samantha and Loki, his siblings Edna, Tilly and Toby (Kathy), as well as many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his mother Emma, his father Albino and his sisters Ida, Orie, Mary and Theresa.

Per Iven’s wishes, this will not be a formal event. Please dress casual and join us to honor and remember Iven’s life.
