Jack Leroy Imhoff Sr. age 85, peacefully passed away and returned to his Father in Heaven at his home in West Valley City on February 7, 2023. Jack was born on February 27, 1937 in Emmett, Idaho to Ella E. and Belmont C. Imhoff.
He attended school in Ogden, Utah at the Utah School For the Deaf and Blind in 1942 until 1956. Jack enjoyed fishing, hunting, bowling for 30 years, softball, Wendover, Collector’s coins and watching T.V. sports. Jack retired from Kennecott Copper Smelter after 24 years of being a janitor for Kennecott in 2001. Jack married Teresa Imhoff on January 6, 1973 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
He is survived by his loving wife, Teresa of 50 years and three wonderful children; Daughter, Patricia, Peter, and Jackie Jr. Along with 5 grandchildren; Devin, Darian, Carter, Owen, and Logan. Along with Jeanne, Bob, Chris (Sammi) and Mary and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; Ella and Belmont Imhoff, his sister Betty Imhoff, and brother Jim Imhoff (Carol Ann Imhoff).
Jack wished to express that he loves his family and many friends and will miss them a lot. Jack’s family would like to express their thanks and gratitude for the many nurses and doctors at the Huntsman Cancer Institute that took care of him throughout his illness.
Funeral services for Jack will be held on Wednesday, February 15, 2023 at 11 AM at Memorial Redwood Mortuary; located at 6500 South Redwood Road West Jordan, UT. A viewing will also be held prior to the services beginning at 9 AM at the same location. Interment will follow the services at Memorial Redwood cemetery.Service Information
