Jacquelyn Vivian Coombs Eldredge

Sandy, UT. 84070 – Jacquelyn Coombs Eldredge passed away peacefully on June 28, 2023, surrounded by her loving children.
Born on February 8, 1938, to Morgan Scott and Vivian Holman Coombs. She married her eternal companion, Lorin Jay Eldredge on June 26, 1958, in the Salt Lake Temple.
Jackie loved and had a fervent testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ, and she lived a life of discipleship. She held many positions of responsibility in the Ward’s and Stakes where she resided. Jackie was everyone’s friend . . . and many people’s best friend. She had an uncanny knack for making others feel valued and cherished. She lifted the spirits of everyone she spent time with. Jackie found joy in the simplest of life’s pleasures. She had a contagious laugh that practically begged others to join in. Jackie had a phenomenal musical talent and performed all around the country with her brother Doug and the Larry Pino National Touring Accordion Ensemble. She performed with many different groups playing the Marimba and Xylophone. Her Piano and Organ skills were appreciated by thousands. She taught hundreds of children the piano while building children’s sense of self-worth. Her last piano concert was less than two weeks before her passing. She instilled a love of music in her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many, many others.
She is survived by her four living children: Todd & Heidi Eldredge, Draper, UT.; Lori & Scott Holloway, Brush Prairie, WA.; Brian and Huamai Eldredge, Henderson, NV.; Bruce and Julie Eldredge, San Antonio, TX. Siblings: Doug & Jana Coombs, St. George, UT; Morgan Scott Coombs, St George, UT; 14 Grandchildren; 29 Great-Grandchildren; and many Nephews & Nieces, Cousins, and friends who she considers family.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years: Lorin Jay Eldredge; Two children: David (1977), & Steven (1967); her father and mother; brother: Robert Coombs; sister: Shirley Petersen.
A Funeral for Jackie will be held @ 11:00 AM, Saturday, July 8, 2023, at:
272 East Traversepoint Drive, Draper, UT. 84020.
A short Viewing will take place from 9:30 – 10:30 AM at the same location.
A Celebration of Life will be held Friday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 PM in the cultural hall at:

One of the joyous aspects of a funeral is the opportunity to mingle with friends and family we don’t get the opportunity to see. We understand that many of Jackie’s friends from other parts of the country and even in Utah may not be able to attend in person. Because of this, we have arranged for the funeral to be broadcast and recorded.
