James (Jim) Marcel Cima passed away gently in the arms of his loving wife, Thursday evening July 19,2007. Born July 22, 1928 in Peerless Utah to Ernie A. and Birdie Leonard Cima. Married Marilyn Maynard June 30, 1952. Later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on May 23, 1955. After graduating from Carbon High School, he served his country in the Navy during the Korean conflict. Jim was an avid sports enthuses who enjoyed boxing, basketball, football, baseball, fishing and hunting. He coached youth baseball for over 15 years. Jim worked as a salesman for several companies until he retired. He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints where he served in several positions including a Service Mission to the Navajo Indians, Elders Quorum Presidency and Bishopric. He worked in the Salt Lake Temple for 8 years. Jim was greatly loved and will be sorely missed. He was a devoted husband and father who cherished his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is survived by his wife Marilyn, his daughter Debi (Richard) Brady, son Scott (Cindy); 9 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren; brothers Ernie Cima and Jack (Ann) Cima; sisters Pat Isaacs, Geri (Gary) Turnbull and Jill(Sherm) Peterson. Many nieces and nephews. Proceeded in death by his Parents and grandparents. Funeral services will be held on Monday July 30, 2007, 11:00am at the East Millcreek 16th Ward, 3408 South Celeste Way(3120 East), Salt Lake City. Friends and family may visit on Sunday evening from 6:00pm - 8:00pm at Holbrook Mortuary, 3251 South 2300 East, and at the church on Monday morning from 9:45am to 10:45am prior to services. A graveside service will be held at the Price City Cemetery on Tuesday July 31 at 12:00pm. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.holbrookmortuary.com.
