James Anthony Katzdorn

James Anthony Katzdorn, our loving husband, father, and grandfather passed away peacefully in his home in Sandy, Utah on Saturday July 6, 2024, at the age of 86. James had his loving wife and family by his side.

James was born in Pueblo Colorado on November 5, 1937, to John Katzdorn and Rosa Kaeberle. He was the youngest of eight children.

James married the love of his life Katherine Katzdorn (Cherpeski) on March 15 1981.Katherine and James spent many wonderful years building their family with love, laughter and travel. 

James and Katherine enjoyed traveling the world, especially their multiple trips to Italy and Mexico. Every Friday night James would lovingly take Katherine to Michaelangelo's on their weekly date where a table was always reserved just for them. James had many passions in life including fine dining experiences, deep sea fishing, taking road trips in his Camaro, cooking, and finishing the hardest crossword puzzles possible. 

James was a kind and generous man who loved to give to the people of his community to try to help make the world a brighter place for everyone who crossed paths with him. James believed in paying it forward whenever possible and ensured those who he met never had to go without. 

He is survived by his wife Katherine Katzdorn, son Tony Katzdorn, daughter-in-law Mia Katzdorn, and his grandson Dane Katzdorn.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his siblings, and his daughter Toni Marie Tenwolde

James will be dearly missed by those who knew him.
