James Weston Moss

James Weston Moss passed away April 23, 2014, at the age of 98. He was born January 28, 1916, to Joseph H. Moss and Dorcas R. Debenham in Salt Lake City, Utah. He graduated from Granite High School and later married his high school sweetheart, Elda Garfield, Sept 3, 1940, in the Salt Lake Temple. They were married for 71 years. Weston served in the Army Air Corps during WWII. He instilled in his family a love of country and devotion to our nation.   He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend to everyone. He was a loyal employee of Glade Candy for many years. He loved serving his fellowmen. His gracious manner will be remembered by everyone that knew him. He was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many leadership and teaching positions. Weston is survived by his sister Patricia Larsen, Highland, CA and daughters: Barbara Henrie (Dave) Delta; Jolenne Sherratt (Reid) Kanab; LaVelle Christensen (Kyle) Salt Lake City. He was preceded in death by his wife, father, mother, four brothers, and a sister. He has 12 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 26, 2014, 12:00 Noon at the Valley View Fourth Ward, 2125 E. Evergreen Avenue, (3435 South) SLC. Friends may call at the church prior to the services at 10:00 a.m.-11:30 a.m. Interment: Elysian Garden Cemetery.
