Yoshiye “Jane” Fujinami peacefully passed away on May 4, 2025. She was born on December 5, 1930 to Jiro and Kuniko Mochizuki in Bingham Canyon, Utah. She moved to Los Angeles, California where she met and married Akira Fujinami in 1959. Their adventures took them to Meridan, Wyoming where they helped Aki’s family run the farm for a few years. After the farm, they moved to Utah to be close to the Mochizuki family.
Jane enjoyed her job as a registered nurse. She worked most of her life at Holy Cross Hospital where she retired at the age of 70. When she wasn’t working she enjoyed her dogs and gardening. She was known for the best tomatoes and everyone looked forward to receiving the bounties of her garden.
Jane is survived by her son Derek and daughter Cindi (Bob) Argyle; grandchildren Ashlee (Jeremy) Roberts, Danielle, Ryan and Madison Argyle. She is preceded in death by her husband, Akira; parents; sister, Yeiko (Connie); brothers, Takeo (Tak), Minoru (Min), Isamu (Sam), George and Masao (Jerry) and daughter-in law, Michelle.
