She passed away on January 2, 2024 in West Jordan, Utah
She was born on October 25, 1947, in Great Falls, Montana to James W. Robertson and Betty Jean Toone.
She married William A. Holland on August 17, 1968, William passed away on September 19, 2017.
Janet Graduated from Granite High School in 1965 and was a graduate of Steven Henager’s Business College in 1967. She worked as a civilian in Supply and Maintenance at Hill Air Force Base from 1967-1977. Then went to work for Wasatch-Cache National Forest from 1977-2009. She retired from the federal government in 2009 and then worked for a couple of quilt stores where she acquired a large stash of fabric! Janet had many hobbies, but quilting was by far her favorite. Janet made many quilting buddies and loved to gift homemade projects to family, friends and neighbors.
Janet married Ronald Romrell on October 30, 2021, only for a short time, but he was an absolutely wonderful husband. Ronald took excellent care of Janet through her pancreatic cancer struggle. Ronn and Janet loved the Utah Jazz, watching the LA Dodgers, as well as an occasional golf game.
She is survived by Robin Staples (married to David) with two sons Brady Staples (married to Allison) and Zachary Staples as well as her loving companion – Ally.
She is preceded in death by James W Robertson (08/25/2000), Betty Jean Toone (12/10/2017) and William A Holland (09/19/2017).
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2024, at 12:30 PM at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, 3401 South Highland Drive, Salt Lake City, Utah 84106. A viewing will be prior to the graveside service from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Holbrook Mortuary, 3251 South 2300 East, Salt Lake City, Utah 84109.
Interment will be at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, 3401 South Highland Drive, Salt Lake City, Utah 84106.
Janet wanted to say thanks to all her friends, neighbors and The River Oaks 3rd Ward for treats, meals, flowers, chores and gifts. She greatly appreciated everything.
