Jan passed away on October 24, 2023 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Janet Kay Welder was born on June 15, 1945 in Colorado Springs, Colorado to Mildred Aileen and Earl Joseph Roemer.
Jan was raised in Ogden, Utah and Salt Lake City, Utah. She graduated from Olympus High School and attended the University of Utah where she met the love of her life, Duard "Skeets" Welder. Jan and Skeets were married on April 11, 1966 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Shortly after they were married, they moved to Wilmington, Delaware where Skeets was offered a position to work at Hercules, Inc. headquarters.
Both children, Debbie & Dave, were born and raised in Delaware, spending weekends and summers at Rehoboth Beach. In the early 1980’s, Skeets’ job transferred him back to Salt Lake where they were very happy to spend their life.
Jan loved to play golf and often times had a better final round than the men. She worked for Terry’s RV as their Office Manager for several years and made many good friends. Jan loved traveling, especially if it was a wine destination.
Survived by her husband, Skeets Welder; children, Debbie Welder (Kyle Green) & Dave Welder (Angie); 6 Grandchildren & 3 Great Grandchildren and her sister Judith Bonds (Mark).
Preceded in Death by her parents Earl & Aileen Roemer and brother James Roemer.

There will be a private interment at Memorial Mountain View Cemetery.
The family is hosting a Celebration of Life at Starks Funeral Home on November 16, 2023 at 7:00pm.
