Janice Blanchard

November 25, 1933 — January 30, 2026

Janice Kloepfer Blanchard, born November 25, 1933, in Logan, Utah, passed away on January 30, 2026, at the age of 92. She was the daughter of Frederick Joseph and Margaret Schaub Kloepfer.

Her early years in Logan shaped the faith, steadiness, and quiet strength that defined her throughout her life.

On June 5, 1953, Janice married Raymond Reid Blanchard in the Logan Temple, beginning a lifelong partnership rooted in devotion, shared purpose, and enduring love. Together they built a family that remained the center of her heart.

A longtime resident of Murray, Utah, Janice was deeply involved in her community. She participated in many church activities and contributed her time and talents to organizations including the Murray History Board, the American Business Women’s Association, and the Red Hatter Club, among others.

Her commitment to service and connection enriched the lives of countless friends and neighbors.

Janice was also a prolific watercolor artist, creating pieces that reflected her keen eye and gentle spirit. Her artwork was proudly displayed at the Murray City Office Building and the Murray Heritage Center, where it brought joy to many.

Above all, Janice was a loving mother to Dennis (Randi) Blanchard, Christi (Jack) Curvin, Laurie (Craig) Prescott-Hill, Ellen Dela Cruz (Rand Casper), and Margaret (Rod) Horton. She was blessed with 14 grandchildren, 16 great‑grandchildren and 2 great, great grandchildren. Each of whom brought her immense joy. Her family will forever remember her warmth, her creativity, and the way she made every person feel valued and loved.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, four brothers, six sisters, Napoleon Dela Cruz (son in law), special friend, Dan Higgins, and the many ancestors who made her the sensational woman she was.

A service honoring her life will be held on Wednesday February 18th at 10:00 am at the Murray Memorial Mortuary at 5850 South 900 East in Murray.

Visitors can also pay respects at viewings from 9:00 – 9:45 prior to service, or on Tuesday evening February 17th from 6-8:00 pm.

Internment will be at the Logan City Cemetery at 2:30. Blue was Janices’ favorite color. Please consider wearing blue, to her service, in her honor.

As she returns to the valley that shaped her, the colors she painted into our lives—through her kindness, her creativity, and her quiet grace—will continue to brighten our days and guide our hearts.
