It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Janice (Larson) Olson, our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend, on Wednesday, April 26, 2023 at her home in Draper, Utah.
Janice was born in Salt Lake City, Utah in June of 1953 to Byron and Oveda Larson. She married Wynn Olson on March 4, 1972 in Las Vegas, NV.
She was known for her kind heart, warm personality and unwavering devotion to her family. She always looked for opportunities to spend time with her loved ones, especially the grandkids. As she fought through late stages of cancer and lastly with Alzheimer’s, Janice taught us all the true meaning of strength and perseverance.
We will miss Janice deeply, but we take comfort in the knowledge that she is now at peace with her Heavenly Father and loved ones, free from the pain and confusion that plagued her in her final years. We will always cherish the memories we shared with her, and we will honor her legacy by living our lives with the same love, compassion, and grace that she showed us.
Janice is survived by four children: Aaron (Liz) Olson, Kelsey (Jim) Hadley, Kimberly (Jason) Losee, and Andrew (Heather) Olson; sixteen grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and three siblings, June Ostler, Lauretta Nichols, and Albert Larson. She will be missed by many other family members and friends. Janice is preceded in death by her husband Wynn Olson, Parents; Byron and Oveda Larson, and two Sisters; Roberta Parker and Merlynn Larson
Funeral will be held Friday, May 5, 2023 at 11:00 am at 14919 S Eagle Crest Drive, Draper, UT. The viewing will be preceding the funeral at 10:00 am.
We would like to thank the staff that came in to help Janice from both Brightstar care and the Community Nursing Service (CNS) that helped her over the last few months.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you spend extra time today with your loved ones, spreading goodness and cheer.Service Information
