Jason Henry Garcia, age 54, of Salt Lake City, Utah, passed away on September 29, 2026, following an auto-pedestrian accident. Jason found joy in working in his garden, spending time on his cars, and expressing himself through his incredible talent as an artist. He will be remembered for his funny sense of humor, strength, perseverance, kind heart, and unwavering love and devotion to his family and beloved Frenchie, Chico. He had a special way of bringing laughter and joy to those around him, and his silliness and presence made him someone who could never be replaced. He carried his strength and determination throughout his life, and whether through his creativity, his humor, or the love he showed the people closest to him, Jason left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him.
Above all, Jason loved his family deeply. His love and devotion were at the heart of who he was, and the memories he created with those he loved will forever be treasured. His family and friends will carry his spirit forward through the laughter, joy, love, and countless beautiful memories he left behind. We will miss his kind heart, his silliness, and simply having him here with us. Though his time with us was far too short, the love he gave will never fade.
Jason is survived by his loving parents, Benny and Frances; daughter Shantell; siblings Monique and Benny; sister-in-law Paola; grandsons Jason, Lukas, and Justus; and nieces and nephew Veronica, Gianna, Vincent, Jade, and Melissa. He also leaves behind his beloved Frenchie, Chico, who held a special place in his heart.
Jason’s legacy will live on in the hearts of all who loved him. He may no longer be physically beside us, but the love he gave, the laughter he brought, and the memories we shared will remain with us forever.
Funeral services will be held at Redwood Memorial Mortuary and Cemetery on Thurs, October 22, 2026, 6500 S Redwood Rd, West Jordan, UT 84123 at 2 PM, a viewing prior at 12 PM to 1:45 PM, followed by burial at 3 PM.
