Jean Marie Bressler Stowe was born in Torrington, Wyoming, on June 20, 1933, and passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 1, 2025. She was the daughter of Harold and Marie Bressler of Casper and was the oldest sister of Robert Bressler and Donna Bressler Preston. Jean graduated from Natrona County High School in Casper, Wyoming, in 1951. She became a certified teacher and taught all grades at a one-room schoolhouse on 33 Mile Road. She enjoyed over 70 years of marriage to Carlton Harry Stowe of Casper, Wyoming. With Carlton, she lived in various places, including Wyoming, Hawaii, and Colorado, before moving to Salt Lake City, Utah, in 1968. She was employed by Petroleum Information Service for many years as a reporter for energy industry drilling and production activities, and served as a salesperson with JoAnn’s Fabrics for over 10 years. She was passionate about sewing and having the right machine for the project. After retirement in 1995, Jean enjoyed many hobbies such as sewing, camping, gardening, bird watching (especially her favorite hummingbirds), and time with Carlton and the family dogs.
She is survived by her three sons, Robert C. Stowe (Trish), Kevin L. Stowe (Carol), and J. Garth Stowe (Becky), and daughter-in-law Brenda K. Stowe. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
Carlton and Jean first heard the gospel in 1957 and enjoyed opening their home for many years for the fellowship of God’s people.
