Holladay

Jeanne Marie Hall, 94, passed away peacefully on May 15, 2026, after a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s disease. Jeanne was born in Ontario, OR, on May 13, 1932, the daughter of James Carlysle and Anna Beck Syme. She was raised on a farm near Roswell, ID, and graduated from Parama High School in 1950.

Jeanne met the love of her life, Jim, at a USO dance in 1954, and they were married shortly after. They were together for 61 years, and Jeanne will be remembered for her love of family and her numerous Sunday family dinners. Jeanne loved to play bridge, and she was able to meet many wonderful people playing in numerous groups over the years. She would play every day if she had the chance and could still get a grand slam when she was in her nineties. Jeanne also loved her rose garden and her daily walks, which kept her in touch with her neighbors.

Surviving Jeanne is daughter, Tonia Goler, her sons, Gregory (BobAnn) and David (Heidi), grandchildren, Bryan (Kacy), Kyle, Audrey, and Scarlett. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Jim; brothers John Syme, Donald Syme, James Syme, and Bruce Syme.

A celebration of life open house will be held at Memorial Holladay-Cottonwood Mortuary (4670 S Highland Dr) on May 21, 11:00 AM – 1:00PM, with the graveside service to follow. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Inspiration Hospice and Sunrise Living Center for their loving and compassionate care.
