Jeff Stone

Jeffery Stone passed away unexpectedly at the age of 46, just nine days shy of his 47th birthday. He leaves behind a family who loved him beyond measure.

Jeff married the love of his life, Megan, in 2004, and together they built a life centered on family, laughter, and love. He was the heart of his home—steady, funny, protective, and endlessly devoted to Megan and their children, Robbie and Mikaela. He worked hard every day to give his family the best life possible, including more than 20 years as a dump truck driver for Geneva Rock. He took pride in being their provider and their comfort and strength.

He loved being Mr. Fix-It, and helping others was never a chore or too much work. If he could make someone’s day easier, he would do it in an instant. He enjoyed being outdoors, spending time with his family, watching old TV shows, talking cars, and he was beyond proud to finally have a Hemi in his driveway—even though Megan remained a Chevy girl at heart. Above all, his greatest joy was being Daddy to his kids. He never missed Robbie’s games or practices, and he was a girl dad through and through to Mikaela. Jeff never knew how to stay angry, and he could never tell someone no. He had a magical way of making people feel seen and supported, no matter the circumstances.

Jeff is survived by his wife, Megan; their children, Robert-Rex “Robbie” William and Mikaela Juliet; his father, Rex Stone; his siblings, Teresa (David) Riddle, Chad Stone, Jeremy (Cari) Dansie, and Jaime Dansie; as well as many family members and friends who will miss him deeply. He was preceded in death by his mother, Kay Stone.

A celebration of Jeff’s life will be held on Saturday, September 12th, at 12 noon at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints chapel, 2841 West 1300 North, Clinton, UT 84015. We ask those attending to write down a story, a joke, or a simple way Jeff made them smile. The book will be given to his children to help them remember his amazing sense of humor.
