Jennifer Lee Wagstaff Holland

May 29, 1951 — November 4, 2022

Jennifer Lee Wagstaff Holland (71) of Holladay Utah, was reunited with her daughter Megan on November 4, 2022. She was the oldest of 5 children born to H.R. and Evelyn Wagstaff on May 29, 1951.
Jenny was taught hard work at an early age working side by side with her parents and siblings helping them start and grow their family business over a span of 50+ years. Her family laughed, loved, and shared their lives together as they worked. Working together were some of their favorite memories.
She graduated from Skyline High school in 1969. After high school, she attended BYU where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Microbiology. Jenny was a loyal BYU fan and often woke her kids up to the Cougar fight song. She especially loved attending BYU football and basketball games.
Her first and only blind date was a success. It was not long before Jenny had fallen in love with Douglas K. Holland and patiently waited for him while he served a 2-year mission in the Australia South Mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Upon Doug’s return, Jenny was sealed to the love of her life in the Salt Lake Temple on April 19, 1973.
Together they raised a family of 6 children and 20 grandchildren. Her family was her whole life and meant everything to her. Everything Jenny did throughout her life was either for or with her family. She loved making memories and planning trips with her family whether it was going to her beloved family ranch in Wyoming, Disneyland, St. George or anywhere else she got a hankering to visit. She was committed to bringing her family together and did so often regardless of how inconvenient or difficult it might have been.
She was strong and full of faith and had an unshakeable testimony of the restoration of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Jenny served diligently in many capacities in the church, including in the Relief Society, Primary and Senior care center, but her most treasured calling was the 6 years she spent serving in the baptistry of the Salt Lake Temple right before it was closed for renovation.
Any extra time Jenny could find outside of family, work, and church she would spend crafting, sewing, and shopping. She was a skilled seamstress and quilt maker and lovingly passed her skills and knowledge onto her children. Her craft room was used to create treasures and gifts that are and will be cherished by many for years to come.
Jenny was a very compassionate and generous woman. The light of Christ shone through her in quiet but impactful ways. She was willing to share everything that she was blessed with. Her generosity has blessed and brought joy to thousands of people, many of whom may not even know Jenny was the source and she preferred it that way. Jenny truly led a life of inspired Christ-like service.
She is survived by her husband Douglas and her children: Douglas Holland, Kerri (Alan) Erickson, Kelli (Richard) Pew, Amy (Nick) Sylvester, and Jacob (Alexa) Holland. Siblings: Becky (Jeremy) Meier, Ronald (Andi) Wagstaff, Anne (Ross) Varner, and Jim (Angie) Wagstaff.
A viewing will be held on Sunday November 13, from 6-8 PM, and on Monday from 9-10:45 at the Holladay 10th Ward Chapel at 4601 South 2565 East (Murray-Holladay Road). Funeral services will follow the viewing and begin at 11 AM.
The family would like to offer their sincere and heartfelt thank you to the many doctors and nurses at IMC Hospital that cared for Jenny during her last few days.
