With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Jesse Lee Winders. Jess passed away peacefully on June 6, 2025, in Murray, Utah. He was born on December 29, 1937, in Elmo, Utah, to John Vernal Winders and Maggie Mae Shirts.

Jesse married Martha Gay Smart, and together they shared 59 wonderful years of marriage.

Jesse had a deep passion for racing, hunting, and fishing, pastimes that brought him great joy throughout his life. Above all, he was devoted to his family, always offering unwavering love and support in all their pursuits.

He served his country with honor as a proud member of the United States Army.

Jesse is survived by his loving wife, Gay; sons, Rick (Margaret) and Kevin (Tammy); grandchildren, Brad (Chrissie) and Chris (Baylee Ann); and great-grandchildren, Cloe, Rylee, Brooklyn, Gracelyn, and Kylar.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, June 16, 2025, at 12:00 PM at Memorial Redwood Cemetery, 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah. Family and friends are invited to a viewing prior to the service from 11:00 to 11:45 AM at Memorial Redwood Mortuary at the same location.
