Jesus (Jesse) Lopez Iii

Jesse Lopez III, age 52, passed away on August 6, 2023, in Salt Lake City, Utah from long-term complications of Covid-19. He was born on March 30, 1971, in Weslaco, Texas to Mr. and Mrs. Jesus and Paula Lopez Jr. Jesse married Audra Lauer on June 3, 2000.
He was born and raised in The Rio Grande Valley, Texas, and moved to Utah in 1998 to start fresh. This is where he met the love of his life. The two of them built a wonderful life in the 23 years that they spent together.
Jesse enjoyed exploring the Utah Mountains, University of Utah Football, spending time with friends, and most importantly, spending time with family. He would always say “Family above everything.”
Jesse is survived by his love, his “Toesies”, Audra Lauer, and their son, Gavin Lopez, his son Jesus (BJ) Lopez IV, daughter-in-law, Yuri Lopez, grandsons Damian and Mathew, his daughter, Natalie Lopez, grandchildren, Sebastian, Nathan, and Gemma, his mother Paula Lopez, his siblings, Bedelia Lopez, Erica Covarubbius, Abel Lopez, nephews, nieces, and a TON of family in Texas.
He is preceded in death by his dad, Jesus Lopez Jr., and all of his grandparents.
There will be a memorial open house for Jesse on Saturday, August 19, 2023, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the home of Maggie Lauer at 5216 South 3710 West, Taylorsville, Utah, 84129.
