Joan Banning

Sally Joan Banning passed away at home August 28, 2023. She was loved by those who knew her. Joan was born in February of 1938 in Salt Lake City, Utah to James and Ruth Ellis. She found the love of her life Ronald Richens later in life and they were together for 31 years. She is survived by a sister Jean Riley, two sons Bill Metsker (Robin) and Steven Banning, daughter Barbara Williams (James), granddaughters Alisha Dowse, Hannah Spray, Cierra Moses (Spencer), Star Grubbs, grandson Bryan Metsker and many great grandchildren. Joan was proceeded in death by her parents James and Ruth Ellis, Sister Judith Susman, brother James Ellis, brother in law Stan Riley, spouse Ronald Richens, granddaughter Jennifer Grubbs, grandson Jeremy Grubbs.
A graveside service will be held on September 9, 2023 at 11:00 am at Francis Cemetery in Kamas, Utah
