Joan Fisher

Murray, UT - With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Joan Fisher on February 9, at the age of 89.

Joan was born and raised in Murray, Utah and lived a life marked by compassion, kindness, strength and devotion to her friends and family.

Joan was predeceased by her husband Bryan Fisher and her parents Jesse and Mary Barrett. 

She is survived by her sister Bonita Lewis, son Terry Fisher, daughter Holly Villegas, six grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

Joan graduated from Granite High School in 1954 and worked at Pacific Intermountain Express. She was and active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served in many positions including sports director, sharing her athletic gifts and making many friends.

Friends and family are invited to a viewing at the LDS church located at 981 East Revere Circle (5555 South), Salt Lake City, Utah 84121, on Friday, February 20, 2026 from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM and Saturday, February 21, 2026 from 10:00 AM - 10:45 AM. 

A funeral service will follow at the same address.

Interment will be at Memorial Mountain View Mortuary & Cemetery, 3115 East Bengal Blvd (7800 South) Cottonwood Heights, Utah 84121.
