John Glen Earl returned home on July 11, 2012. Glen was born December 3, 1923 in Salt Lake City to Jonathan and Laura Forsgren Earl. He graduated from South High where he participated in most sports. He served in the Army Air Force during World War II, where he was stationed throughout the Pacific. On July 22, 1946 he married Mary Margaret Kilbourne in the Logan Temple.
Glen was a co-owner for Earl and Son's Plaster and Drywall. His reputation as a hard worker spanned his entire life. Glen enjoyed skiing, fishing, golfing, tennis, etc. He was also an avid sports spectator.
Glen was a member of the LDS church. He loved the Lord and served him throughout his life. Glen will be sorely missed, but he will never be forgotten.
He is survived by his children Linda (Mike) Query, Jack (Susan) Earl, Craig (Anne) Earl, and Martsie and their respective children and grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife Margaret; two grandchildren, Samuel and Paige Earl and one great-grandchild, Christopher Grostcost.

Funeral services will be held Mon. July 16, 2012 at 11:00 am at the Foothill 6th Ward chapel, 2215 E. Roosevelt Ave. (1460 S.). Friends may call Sun. July 15, 6-8 pm at the Holbrook Mortuary, 3251 S. 2300 E., and at the church Monday morning from 9:30-10:30 am prior to the service at 11:00 am. Interment Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
