John Frederick Graber

June 30, 1948 — October 11, 2023

Park City

John F. Graber passed away peacefully in his home with
loved ones by his side on Wednesday October 11th.
He is survived by his loving wife Bonnie Nielsen Graber, his
children Janetta L. (Mike) Quatrale, Brian J. (Candy) Holmes
& John R. (Kaelynn) Graber. His sister LuAnn Moore. His
grandchildren Braxton Quatrale, Michael Quatrale, Mikayla
M. Holmes, Makenna F. Holmes, Madison Graber, Isaac
Graber, Sarah Graber, Kaiden Graber and his great
grandchildren Elaina Quatrale, Maison Quatrale & Abby
Quatrale. He is preceded in death by his daughter Karen L.
Graber, his father Frederick L. Graber, his mother Lucille J.
Thorpe Graber, his sister Mary Kay Olkjer & his brothers
Daniel Graber & David Graber.
He was born on June 30th 1948 at Hill Air Force Base, Davis
County, Utah. John was a member of The Church of Jesus
Christ of Latter Day Saints. He faithfully served in the
Cumorah Mission located in upstate New York. From the
beginning John had an interest in law enforcement &
dedicated his life to serving in that profession. He graduated
from the police academy with the "Outstanding Police
Trainee Award" then joined the Ogden City Police Dept. He
then joined the Utah Highway Patrol September 1st 1976
where he remained the rest of his career until he retired as
Sergeant on June 24th 2004.
He loved trips to the Tetons & Jackson Lake, camping,
hunting & fishing. He was an avid collector of many things
that intersted him. He was a huge Minnesota Vikings fan &
cherished his family & friends. He loved the mountains and
felt peaceful there. He will be missed dearly.
