On Wednesday, January 28, 2026, John Belliston Heath our husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather peacefully passed away at home in his sleep. John was born on October 23, 1943, to John Fredrick Heath and Deon Belliston Heath. John attended Salt Lake City schools graduating from Highland High School in 1962. John made many lifetime friends at Highland all of whom are deeply loved. John served in the U.S. Army Reserve as a medic from 1962 to 1968. John was sealed for time and all eternity to Sarah Dunn on September 12, 1968, in the Salt Lake Temple. From their union two children were born, John C. Heath and Stephanie J. Heath (Anderson). Over the years, at many events and especially on the golf course, John’s family could count on John knowing someone. He would not only point the person out but would warmly greet them and talk to them about when and where from which they knew each other. John is a disciple of Jesus Christ. A true believer in the gospel of his Savior and Redeemer. A member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, John would quietly minister to members of his congregation and neighbors. Members and neighbors who always quickly became friends. Most importantly, John was known as kind. John reached out to those who were often misunderstood and marginalized and became their friend. The world would be a much better place if we all adopted his kind and patient demeanor.
John is survived by the love of his life Sarah Dunn (Heath). His children John C. Heath and Dixie (Letzerich) Heath; Stephanie Heath (Anderson) and Nevin Anderson. His ten grandchildren: John D Heath and Jade (Lewis) Heath; Alexandra Heath (Chapman) and London Chapman; Ian C. Heath and Tatiana (Burdess) Heath; Kirsten Heath; Marisa Heath; Emily Anderson (Morford) and Harrison Morford; Hannah Anderson (Jorgensen) and Justus Jorgensen; Sarah Anderson (Bergk) and Keaten Bergk; Jens Anderson; Luke Anderson. His eight almost ten great grandchildren. His sister Lynda Heath (Behunin) and Garry Behunin. His brother-in-law Clifford V. Dunn and Colleen Curtis (Dunn). John was preceded in death by his mother and father. His brother Paul Heath. His father-in-law Clifford V. Dunn. His mother-in-law Maude J. Dunn and his nephew Robert Behunin. The family wishes to thank all of John and Sarah’s wonderful friends. We love you. In lieu of flowers, please donate to a humanitarian charity of your choice.
