John William "Jack" Cumberledge, Jr

Beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, Son, Brother, Uncle and Friend, Passed away on 03/03/2013 surrounded by his family. Dad was born December 2, 1947 to John W & Lois Cumberledge. Brother to Terry, Barbara, Kathy and Frances. Jack was raised in Holladay and graduated from Olympus High School in 1966. Dad served in the US Army from 1966-1969 stationed in Germany. Jack married the love of his life Dana Lynn Batty on July 27, 1970. Father of four children: Wendy (Brandon) Ingersoll, Khristopher, Kharyssa, Alyssa, and Alycen. Tina (Chad) Godbe, Zane. John (Kandy) Cumberledge, John, Billy, Daniel. Jessica Wilson (Michael) Zacharey, Dewey, and Alexis. Dad was an excellent provider and enjoyed his trade of Auto Body Collision Repair and Paint. Dad owned and operated Jack's Collision Repair, Southwest Auto Sales, and a Ryder-Budget Truck Rental. Dad was very talented painting and fixing cars. Dad enjoyed family gatherings, Dallas Cowboys football, and parties. All the grandchildren were the sparkle in his eyes. Jack loved living in Mesquite NV, playing Keno, and driving his black Cadillac. Jack is survived by his wife, children, grandchildren, parents, sibling, and many aunts, uncles and two dogs Abby and Buddy. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him. Services will be at 2pm on Friday March 8, 2013 at St. Vincent's DePaul Church, 1375 E Spring Lane, Salt Lake City, Utah. Under the direction of Holbrook Mortuary. Viewing will be held one hour prior. Grave dedication and military honors at the Holladay Memorial Park. The family wishes to thank all the awesome medical staff and nurses at the VA and U of U Hospitals for their valiant efforts.
