Jolynn Anderson Callister

July 4, 1956 — December 19, 2014

Jolynn Anderson Callister passed away peacefully and naturally on December 19, 2014. She was born to Belmont F. Anderson and Vivian Schipper Anderson on July 4, 1956 in Provo, Utah. Jolynn was the middle of five children and was raised in Holladay, Utah. Growing up she enjoyed her numerous pets, skiing, and summers in Sundance.

Jolynn was a member of the LDS church and served in many callings.  She loved family and is remembered for her diligence in providing opportunities and fun experiences for her children and grandchildren. She was truly selfless, loving, and nurturing. She spoiled her grandchildren with a reckless abandon, always cooked too much food, gave the best foot massages, and snorted when she laughed too hard. She knew how to drive a stick, ride motorcycles, throw a spiral, fish, shoot guns, be silly, yard sale 'til exhaustion, bake chocolate chip cookies, and she had a beautiful parallel ski turn.

She graduated from Skyline High School and BYU. She always sang the BYU fight song to wake her children for school who all ironically decided not attended BYU. She enjoyed playing the piano, the outdoors, horseback riding, volunteering at the Assistance League, crafts, and genealogy.

Jolynn is survived by her husband, David Callister; children, Jesse (Kathryn) Neilson, Jacob Neilson, Bonnie Neilson, Peter Callister, Adam Callister and grandchildren; Baylee, Madilynn, and Ella. She is also survived by her brothers Bill, Greg, Jeff and sister Laurie. She is preceded in death by her parents Belmont and Vivian Anderson.
