"Will Be Missed Dearly"

Jonna Kirsten Ferniss Jensen, 74, passed away on May 25, 2009 due to complications from cancer.

Jonna was born July 28, 1934 in Kolding Denmark to Poul and Yrsa Jensen. She immigrated to Utah in 1956 as a member of the LDS Church and worked for Strevell-Patterson and West American. She married George Eldon Jensen on June 30, 1961 in the Salt Lake Temple. She took joy in being with her family and all things Danish. Her life was marked by some trials, but she always labored to do the best she could.

She is survived by sons Joseph and Steven; daughter Michelle (Brain Porritt); sister Anita Scheurer. Preceded in death by parents, husband, and son Paul.

Funeral services will be held Friday, May 29 at 12 noon at Holbrook Mortuary, 3251 South 2300 East. Visitation from 11:00 to 11:45 a.m. Interment: Wasatch Lawn.
