Joseph F. Velasquez passed away peacefully at his home November 29, 2009. He was born June 14, 1934 in Dinkyville, Bingham Canyon, Utah to Benita Lovato and Fidel Velasquez.
Joseph was a partner with Fidel and Sons Construction. He served in the Marine Corp. He also worked as a Social Worker for the State of Utah. He loved fishing, hunting, and had a boat named "Little Joe". He lovingly cared for his mother, and administered to the elderly. Joe will be missed by everyone who knew him.
Joseph is survived by his siblings, Esther (Robert) Quintana, John Ben Velasquez, Elaine Velasquez Christensen, Rose (Tom) Burchett, Michael (Shanna) Velasquez; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, George and Delbert.
Memorial services will be held Friday, December 4, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. at Jehovah's Kingdom Hall, 2240 South 600 East, where friends and family can visit from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. prior to the service. Online condolences may be sent to the family at: www.holbrookmortuary.com
