Josephine Aguilar

Josephine Aguilar age 87 passed away on January 12th, 2026, in Salt Lake City. She was born on February 20th, 1938, in Salt Lake City to Aurelia and Ramon Garcia.

She married the very handsome love of her life, Joseph Lou Aguilar Sr. on February 4th, 1955. Josie will be remembered as a wonderful mother, grandma, great-grandma, great-great-grandma, sister and friend. She was also the best cook ever. The love for her family is immeasurable. She enjoyed adventures such as road trips, sailing and camping. Around town she loved going to bingo, bowling, morning coffee, and eating Mexican and Chinese food. At home she kept busy with novellas, music, puzzle books, gardening, and family get togethers. 

She is survived by her children: Debbie, Joe Jr. (Wendee), Ray (Yolanda), Anna (Randy), Paula (Mark), Michelle and Manuel. Twenty grandchildren, thirty two great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren. Three sisters, two brothers, also nieces and nephews. 

She is preceded in death by her loving husband Joseph, daughter Julie Ann and son Bob. Parents Aurelia and Ramon Garcia. Four sisters and two brothers. 

A public viewing will be held on Wednesday, January 21st from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM at Memorial Redwood Mortuary located at 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah, 84123. A public viewing will also be held on Thursday, January 22nd from 10:00 AM - 10:45 AM at Redwood Memorial. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM after which a graveside service will take place at 12:00 PM at Redwood Memorial.
