Josie Elizabeth Lutton, 99, passed away on September 25, 2024 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was born on November 24, 1924 in Scofield, Utah to Joseph Fiechko and Elizabeth Papp. She married Frank Lutton on June 14, 1947.
Josie belonged to the LDS First Deaf Ward where she filled many positions over the years. She served in the Primary, and Relief Society as well as a song leader for the Deaf Choir.
Josie was a talented seamstress and doll maker. She attended and graduated from the Ogden School for the Deaf and the Blind.
Josie is survived by her sons Larry (Carol), and Dan; grandson John; granddaughter Annie; sister Dolly Stella and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Elizabeth Fiechko; husband Frank Lutton; sisters Vera (Dell) Bryson, Mary (Max) Rob, Caroline (Juan) Asay; brothers Lewis, Fred and Joe Fiechko.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, October 4, 2024 at 12:00 PM at Memorial Redwood Mortuary, 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah. You may visit with the family prior to services from 11:00 to 11:45 AM. Interment following services at Memorial Redwood Cemetery at the same address.
The family would like to give a special thanks to all the nurses and staff at St. Joseph Care Facility and Inspiration Hospice for the loving care given her over the past three years.
