Joy and Robert Hustead

Celebrating the lives of Joy Koleen Hustead ( 1/19/1933 to 8/22/2025) and Robert Frank Hustead (2/18/1928 to 12/6/2008)

Robert and Joy embarked on a journey together on 7/7/1972. They spent 36 years working, playing, and raising 9 children together. Like any blended family, there were both ups and downs, but they always managed to weather the storms and keep the family united. Although Robert left this world first, Joy kept him ever so close until the day they could be reunited again. Their beautiful family included Russell Hustead (Hunter & Taylor Hustead), Joanne/Kevin Rackstraw (Emma & Nathan Rackstraw), Judy/Paul Marvin (Jenna & Allison Marvin), Barbara Conn (Lily & Rachel Conn), Rene Hustead, Rhonda/Mike Desautels (Joy & John Desautels), Ramona/Robert Barr (Nick & Jenny Morrison), Rebecca/Evan Ward (Ian Myers, Bryan Atkinson, Rachel & Robert Justen), David/Maureen (Michael and Robert Hustead).

Their ashes were carefully mixed in a heart-shaped container and they were buried next to their grandson Ian Garret Myers and their daughter Rhonda Joy Desautels in the green cemetery on the beautiful mountain top at Memorial Lakeview Mortuary in Bountiful, Utah, their final resting place for all eternity.

A celebration of life in their honor will be held on 6/12/2026 for their children and grandchildren beginning at 1:00 PM. Please bring any special pictures, memories, and stories to share of their life together.
