Joyce B. Jaeger, born on September 4, 1937, in Salt Lake City, Utah, passed away peacefully at her home in Kearns on November 26, 2025. She was a loved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, known for her unwavering love and support to her family. Joyce has left a profound legacy through her children: Melissa (Richard) Bellis, Randy (Lorraine) Jaeger, Victor (Mary) Jaeger, Susan Jaeger, and Debbie Adams. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, with another on the way. Many friends loved Joyce and called her Mom.
Joyce was deeply passionate about her interests, spending countless hours quilting and knitting, skills that she shared generously with her loved ones. She found great joy in nature, often spending her best days climbing the bad lands of Wyoming and picnicking in the mountains. Notably, she cultivated a love for history and archaeology, ever curious about the world around her.
Her adventurous spirit led to many memorable times spent in Yellowstone National Park, where she created lasting memories with those she loved. A foundational part of her community, Joyce dedicated fifty years to teaching in Relief Society, exemplifying her commitment to nurturing and guiding others. In her youth, she proudly participated on the first gymnastics team in Utah and showcased her competitive spirit as a skier.
Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, Leon, her parents, and her brother Paul Ray, and Ralph and a sister whose passing preceded her birth and was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Phillip J. Adams.
A viewing will be held on December 2, 2025, from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM, followed by a graveside service at Memorial Redwood Mortuary and Cemetery located at 6500 S Redwood Rd, West Jordan, UT. The graveside service will commence at 11:30 AM.
Joyce B. Jaeger will be remembered fondly for her nurturing spirit, her sense of adventure, and her commitment to family and community. She leaves behind a rich legacy of love that will continue to inspire those who knew her.
