Joyce Louise Matthews

Joyce Louise Matthews, age 78, died peacefully at her home on Thursday, Oct 11, 2018. She was born on January 15, 1940 to Charlotte and Kelly Clayton in her home state of Utah.  Joyce graduated from Olympus High school.  She married the love her life, James Dale Matthews on January 3, 1964 and they had one son.  Joyce was a passionate University of Utah football fan and loved to spend time fishing and camping, especially in the Uintah Mountains.  She was also an avid Elvis fan and would eagerly brag to anyone who would listen about her Elvis concert experiences.
She is survived by her son Kelly (Coree) and two grandsons, Kannon and Bridger.
Friends and family are invited to attend a graveside service on Wednesday, October 17 at 10 am at Memorial Mortuary 3115 E 7800 S, Cottonwood Heights, UT 84121. The family will greet friends inside, one hour prior to the service.
