Juanita Nicole Degregoria

Juanita Nicole Degregoria was born May 5, 1979, in Fort Polk, Louisiana, to Deborah Furman Battle and Randolph Organ. During her early college days, she met and fell in love with Jason Degregoria, and to this union two beautiful daughters were born. Juanita loved to dance, and she danced often.

Juanita attended public schools in New York and California. She obtained her associate degree from Sullivan University in New York. After working several years in New York, Juanita and her husband moved to South Carolina, where she earned her bachelor's degree from the University of South Carolina (USC). While in South Carolina, she was employed by the Beaufort County Department of Disabilities and Special Needs (DDSN), always with the loving support of her husband, Jason.

After fifteen years in South Carolina, she and her family moved to Utah, where she was employed with Ability and Choice. There, Juanita was inspired to start her own business, Golden Fences, where she worked as a job coach for adults with special needs.

In her early years, Juanita was baptized and accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her personal Savior. She attended churches on a military base in California. In New York, she attended First Church of God in Christ under the pastorship of the late Pastor Itliel Clemmons, and Abundant Life Tabernacle under the pastorship of Bishop Jasper Rolle. While in Beaufort, South Carolina, she attended Community Baptist Church under Dr. Carl Broggi. Upon arriving in Utah, she and her family joined The Point Church, where her current pastor is Pastor Cory J. Hodges.

After a lengthy illness, Juanita transitioned from mortality to immortality on September 22, 2026. She was preceded in death by her brother, LaShawn Ketama Organ.

Juanita leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Jason Degregoria, and their two daughters, Mia and Zyanne Degregoria, of West Valley City, Utah; her parents, Deborah and Tommy Battle of the Bronx, New York; her mother-in-law, Joan Gregory (Charley), of Pennsylvania; her father-in-law, Gary Degregoria, of Bristol, Tennessee; her step-grandmother, Geraldine Furman, of Savannah, Georgia; her brother, Jonah Organ (Miranda), of Tooele, Utah; a special aunt and uncle, Tonia and Lee Davis, of Utah; a special uncle, Elder Freddie Furman Jr., of Walterboro, South Carolina; and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, dear friends, and her church family.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, October 2, 2026, at Memorial Redwood Mortuary, 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah. A viewing will be held at 10:00 AM, with the service to follow.

Following Juanita's wishes, she will be cremated after the services and laid to rest in Utah and New York at a later date.
