Judith Emma Wilcock Workman

October 29, 1944 — November 10, 2023

West Valley City, Utah

Judith Emma Wilcock Workman (Judy) left this mortal life on November 10, 2023, at her West Valley home.  She was born October 29, 1944, in North Creek, Utah to John Elmer Wilcock and Mildred Geneva Green.  She married Milton Ross Workman on September 11, 1965, in the Saint George Temple.

Judy was raised in Milford, Utah and graduated from Milford High School in 1962.  After high school she attended the College of Southern Utah, where she received her Bachelor’s Degree in teaching.  This is where she first saw Ross and instantly knew that she would one day marry him.  While attending college, she spent her summers working at Bryce Canyon, where she made many friends, as well as the memories she lovingly shared with her family.

After college she taught first and second grades until shortly before she had her second daughter.  She then devoted her life to caring for her family and building a loving home for them, as well as all those who entered her life.  She was a devoted and supportive wife to Ross as his work took him to Alaska, Washington DC, Arizona and finally back home to Utah.

Judy was a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where she held many positions over the years.  Her favorite calling was that of Den Mother to the Cub Scouts.

Judy enjoyed cooking. She often made-up recipes and would tell everyone who entered her home that if they left hungry, it was their own fault.  She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.  She made each one of them feel as if they were her favorite, and each one was.

She is survived by her loving husband Ross Workman, children Millie Shinsel, Tina (Bryan) Hermansen, April (James) Davis, David Workman, John Workman, her sister Pat Griffiths, 14 grandchildren as well as many children and grandchildren that she has welcomed into her family throughout her life.

She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Mildred Wilcock, brother, John Wilcock and granddaughter, Jessica.
