On the anniversary of her mother’s passing, Judy was reunited with her beloved parents, Tamotsu and Toshie. She is survived by her brothers, Mickey and Gary, and her sisters, Amy and Sue. Though she did not have children of her own, Judy deeply loved and joyfully spoiled her 12 nieces and nephews.
A true socialite and devoted sports fan, Judy spent decades attending Utah Jazz games, Utah Utes gymnastics meets, and countless plays with her closest friends, Donna, Julie and Sandy. She was always the loudest cheerleader for her nieces and nephews, never missing a chance to drive them to practices or road trip to their big games and events.
Judy had an adventurous spirit and a deep love for travel—whether across the U.S. or abroad—always dreaming of her next trip to Hawaii or Japan. Her hobbies were many: quilting, knitting, bowling, and golfing. Even though she made a hole-in-one, she most proudly claimed the title of Shiba Invitational three-peat golf champion, earned alongside her team of nephews.
Judy will be forever loved and remembered for her Sunday dinner invitations, holiday sugar cookies, handmade candies, infectious laugh, radiant smile, and unmatched generosity. Simply put, she was one of a kind. Her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her, and those closest to her will continue to carry forward her legacy as “Auntie Judy” — lovingly known as “A.J.” — for generations to come.
The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the wonderful staff at Carrington Court and Active Hospice for the exceptional care, kindness, and support. They are deeply grateful for the love and dignity they provided.
