June Mackay Croft

June Mackay Croft passed away on 16 March 2018 at the age of 93 from causes incident to age. She was born on the 4th of June 1924 to Vern Winder Mackay and Abbie Kimball Mackay. She was raised in Salt Lake City and attended South High School and LDS Business College. June met her husband Robert S. Croft (Bob) through a cousin at a church choir practice and they were married in the Salt Lake Temple on May 14, 1947. June raised 7 children (2 girls and 5 boys). She loved her family deeply and her greatest joy was to see them all together at the many family dinners she planned. Her posterity loved playing in her large and beautifully landscaped back yard. June was a talented organist, gardener and quilter. She made many quilts for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved Precious Moments figurines and nativities and had more than 200 displayed throughout her home. June won many ribbons in the Spring Garden Festival, African Violet Society, and Floral Culture Garden Club.  She was an active member of the LDS Church and served in many callings in Primary, Mutual and Relief Society.

She is survived by children, Larry (Karen), Owen, Kenneth (Ann), Kevin, Bryan (Kimberly); sons-in-law, Gary Beck and John Prince (Denise); grandchildren (23) and great-grandchildren (36). She was preceded in death by her daughter, Wendy Prince; sister, Elaine Ottley; husband, Robert; and daughter, Julene Beck.

Funeral services will be held Friday, March 23, 2018 at 11:00am at the Holbrook Mortuary, 3251 South 2300 East, where friends and family can visit Thursday evening 6:00-8:00pm and Friday morning 9:30-10:30am prior to the service.
