Justin Robert Milano

Oct 12, 1983 — Oct 20, 2026

Sandy, Utah

Justin Robert Milano was 43 years young, born October 12th 1983 and died October 20th 2026. Justin was born and raised in Sandy where he regularly walked his dog in Dimple Dell Park, a short walk from his home that he owned for eight years. The son of John R. Milano and Janette M Thalmann Milano, brother of Janelle (Chad) Cox and uncle to niece Cambria, and nephew Barrett. He was always available and eager to help with any task when asked. He was often asked to care for the families pets when we decided to travel.

Who was Justin as a friend, son, brother, cousin, and nephew, the kindest person you’d ever want to meet. Cambria and Barrett affectionately referred to him as Uncle Justy to which we think, he secretly loved. He really enjoyed showing them how to play ball with the dogs. Uncle Justy always gave them the best and most thoughtful Christmas presents. He prided himself in being responsible, helpful, and ready to try anything. He was an avid skier from the age of five, competing on the Brighton Ski Team until he decided to try his skill at ski aerials and extreme skiing. He once entered the Extreme Ski competition at Snowbird and did reasonably well, skiing with some of the best extreme skiers in the region. Justin loved hiking and camping in the loneliest places possible. He seemed to seek out places that normal hikers had probably never heard of. He once told me he was going to hike some trails in the Jawbridge Wilderness area. It took me some time before I even located that wilderness area let alone the trails he mentioned. The High Uintas along with the Wind River mountains were also favorites.

Justin tried and excelled in most everything he attempted from brewing to photography. He established a 20 year career in IT information technology graduating with a Bachelor in Science. His enjoyment, extended early in life, to the experience of earning the 21 merit badges needed for his eagle scout rank. He often talked about the winter outing and overnighting in snow caves. I would be remise in not mentioning how much he traveled with the family, scuba diving in the Cayman Islands, Cabo and Hawaii, and swimming with the dolphins in New Zealand with the Sister with whom he was inseparable.

Justin’s love of wild and lonely places stemmed from the serious social anxiety with which he suffered that only increased as he grew older and his desire for companionship increased.

He is preceded in death by his mother. Memorial gathering will be held on October 28 at 2:00PM at Memorial Mountain View Mortuary & Cemetery.
