Karen Spendlove

June 1, 1962 — August 4, 2023

Karen Elizabeth Spendlove (Nee Yates) left this world surrounded by her closest family on the evening of August 4, 2023.
She was born on June 1, 1962. She brought so much meaning to the lives of her parents, Kenneth S. Yates and Carol D. Yates (nee Newson).
Karen was a vibrant, beautiful woman that had an undeniable energy about her. She brought us warmth, smiles, and love. Her laugh was vivacious and captivating. It carried throughout any space she was in. She loved traveling, socializing, and doing her best to carry on family traditions. She was a selfless caretaker and fought hard for herself and those she knew and loved. Her heart was generous and compassionate. She always wanted everyone to be healthy and doing well.
Karen is survived by, and most proud of, her children and grandchildren. Her daughter Alexis, her son Ian, and his wife Caroline. Alexis’ children Isaiah, Korinne, Isys, and Zackary. And Ian’s son Edgar. She loved talking about them to anyone who would listen. She also had many close and wonderful friends she cherished until the end.
She is preceded in death by her mother and father and the father of her children, Foster Spendlove. She so graciously cared for all of them at the end of their lives.
