Katherine Syme

July 26, 1935 — March 5, 2026

In the quiet evening hours of Thursday, March 5, Katherine Syme, our beloved mother and grandmother, slipped peacefully from this life and into the waiting embrace of her husband, Dale; her parents, Roscoe and Charlotte; and her siblings Lorinda, David, and Helen, who preceded her in death. Though it is hard to let her go, we are comforted knowing she was welcomed home by those she longed to see again.

To us, she was everything. She poured her heart into her family, serving in countless unseen ways. Her love was steady and endlessly generous.

Her home was her sanctuary—a place where she found peace and created joy for others. From her little garden of flowers, to gathering family for Sunday dinners, to wanting to throw a party for every special occasion, every family moment was touched by her hands and her heart.

She faced life’s challenges with courage, strength, and determination. Even in times of illness or hardship, she showed resilience and a spirit that refused to give up. Her strength was a steady anchor for all of us.

She leaves behind a legacy she would be proud of: a family shaped by her example of hard work and unwavering love. Her children, grandchildren, and great‑grandchildren were her greatest joy, and she cherished every moment spent with them.

She is survived by her children Debra (Dave) Allsop, Traci (Chip) Nielsen, and David (Adrienne) Syme; seven grandchildren; nine great‑grandchildren; and another great‑grandchild on the way.

You have earned your peace. We will miss your smile, your hugs, your stories, and the warm home you created. We are forever grateful for the memories you gave us and the love you shared so freely.
