Kathleen Price Clegg passed away on November 28, 2011 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was born on January 20, 1925 in Laketown, Utah to Bernetta Johnson and Frank J. Price. She was the youngest of six children and loved growing up on a farm. Some of her favorite chores were feeding the lambs and bringing in the cows. She graduated from West High school after which she and her friend Jean Seversen moved to San Diego, California where they both became ship welders during World War II. Kathy met her sweetheart, Arden Clegg, a World War II veteran, at a dance at the Coconut Grove in Salt Lake City. They were married on June 12, 1948. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. They have three daughters and one son. The family loved vacationing together. They went on many cruises and also vacationed at their favorite spot in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, Teton Village.
Kathy was an avid sports enthusiast. She loved the BYU football team and considered them "her boys". She loved the Utah Jazz and was a season ticket holder for 20 years. She worked at Harmans Accounting for 15 years and made many great friends. Her work at Harmans enabled her to buy a motorhome in 1996. For the next 10 years, she and Arden traveled south every winter with good friends Jean and Jack Seversen, among others. More than anything, Kathy loved being with her family and grandkids. Kathy was a great conversationalist and loved to talk to people.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years; 4 children, Sharon (Bruce) Barber, Lori (James) Michoff, Kim and Shelly (Byron) Goates; 13 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson on the way. Preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Ken, Glen and Van; sisters, Eliza and June.
