Kathryn Goodliffe Waters

Kathryn (Kay) Goodliffe Waters, 94, died of natural causes on November 25, 2017

Born in Ogden, Utah on December 16, 1922 to Leah Callahan and Arnold Francis Goodliffe. Married Morice Ned Waters on June 20, 1941 in Farmington, Utah.  Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple.

Kay worked in the food service industry for many years, including managing Bratten's Restaurant in Sugarhouse.  She retired as Food Service Manager from JC Penney.

Kay served in many capacities in the LDS church including as a missionary in Auckland New Zealand from 1987 – 1989 with her husband Ned.

Kay's interests included reading, cooking, gardening, decorating her home, camping and having traveling adventures with Ned in their trailer.

Kay is survived by her children Jeffrey (Shirley) Waters, Leah (Ron) Twitchell, Linda (David) Magleby and Leann Garavatti, 10 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren; also survived by her sisters Glenna Lloyd, Iris Beer, Shirley Moore and Marilyn (Bob) Neff. She was preceded in death by her husband Ned, sons Jerome Waters and Michael Waters, grandson Moses Waters and granddaughter Alexis Waters and one great grandson.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at the Winder 11th Ward, 951 East 3825 South.  Friends may call on Saturday one hour prior to the services.  Interment Memorial Estates Redwood.
