In loving memory of Kathy D Steel, who passed away peacefully on Monday, February 26, 2024, at home in South Jordan, Utah, at the age of 60. Kathy is survived by her father Lloyd Dahle, daughters Brandi Flint (Heather Wright) and Amanda Steel (Jordon Shields), granddaughter Cheyene Flint, great grandson Link Nebeker and brother Bill Dahle (Denise). She is also remembered by her “grandpuppies” Razzle and Diggle whom she held very close to her heart. Kathy is preceded in death by her mother Bonnie Dahle.
Kathy was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother who helped all her girls learn to live life with joy, love, strength and fun. She worked with many wonderful people, and was proud of her accomplishments while working at Zims, Beck Leather & Crafts, Joann, and St. Marks Family Medicine. She held her friends dear and was always happy to help those close to her. Kathy was very creative and imaginative. She enjoyed many crafts, especially needle arts and was an accomplished cross-stitcher. She also excelled at hardanger embroidery, crochet and knitting.
She loved going on road trips and seeing all the interesting things the road had to offer along the way. She absolutely embodied the idea that the journey is just as important as the destination. She liked board games, bowling, musicals, adventures of all kinds, and really anything that she could do that included spending time with those she loved. She loved the work she did as the Membership Secretary of the Utah Scottish Association and joked about being a proud member of “Clan McVoluntold”. The friendships and experiences she gained through the association were so important to her.
She was funny and silly, smart and wise (and knew the difference), strong and resourceful, and so very very much more than one could sum up in print. Kathy will be deeply missed and the hole left in our hearts and lives will not soon be healed.
