Kay Gines

With heavy hearts the family of Kay Willey Gines, of Sandy, Utah announces that she passed away on Friday, March 20, 2026, at the age of 80.

 Born on April 13, 1945 in Ogden, Utah to Lynn Robison Willey and Marie Peterson Willey, she moved to Logan, Utah at the age of three. She graduated from Logan High School and attended classes at Utah State University.

 She married the love of her life, Jerry, on July 23, 1971. She was a devoted wife and mother and an active member of the business community. She owned and operated various companies during her lifetime ranging from a travel agency to a hyperbaric oxygen therapy clinic. An active member of the LDS faith, she always answered the call to serve whenever asked.

 Known for her quick wit, winning smile, and positive outlook on life, she made everyone she came in contact with feel loved and appreciated. She loved her family and her entire extended family deeply. She was loved so much by so many and will be deeply missed.

 She is survived by her loving husband Jerry Norton Gines, her three children, Laura Niesen (Howard), Michael Willey Owens Gines (Paty), and Nathan Jerry Gines, and three grandchildren. She is also survived by her three brothers, Richard Lynn Willey (Sheila), James Peterson Willey (Marci), and Alan Roy Willey.

Services will be held Friday, April 3, 2026. Memorial Mountain View Mortuary 3115 East 7800 South Cottonwood Heights, UT 84121
