Kaye "Grammy" Dixon, age 84, passed away peacefully with family surrounding her on April 23, 2026, in Midvale, Utah. Born on February 11, 1942, in Alamosa, Colorado, Kaye lived a full and vibrant life dedicated to her family, career, and passions.
Kaye spent more than 40 years working in front-end management at Albertsons. She was known not only for her dedication and strong work ethic, but for the kindness she showed to everyone she met. Over the years, she formed lasting friendships with coworkers and customers who became like family.
She found joy in life’s simple moments—camping, golfing, and snowmobiling, and especially in caring for her garden. Kaye had a creative spirit and a generous heart, often knitting and cross-stitching pieces that she lovingly shared with others. She was a devoted sports fan who rarely missed a chance to cheer on her favorite teams, the Cowboys, Utes, and the Jazz. Her love for Southwestern decor was a reflection of her warm and vibrant personality.
Kaye enjoyed shopping, listening to music, and getting lost in a good book, but what truly made her happiest was time spent with the people she loved. She had a special way of making others feel welcome, valued, and at home.
Above all, Kaye’s greatest joy in life was her family. She loved them deeply and wholeheartedly, and nothing meant more to her than being part of their lives and watching them grow. Her love will always be felt.
She is survived by her children, Stacey (Destry) Lovato and Mike (Brenda) Dixon; her grandchildren Kandis (Nate) Callaway, Kelsie (Parker) Ashton, Landon Dixon, Ellie Dixon, and Carson Dixon; and her great-grandchildren Conrad Callaway, Raven Ashton, Vinny Callaway, and Iver Ashton. She also leaves behind her siblings Kirk David and Kathy Reading. Kaye was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Duane Dixon; her parents, Georgia and Pete David; her sister, Karen Timothy; her sister-in-law, Bev David; and her brothers-in-law, Ned Timothy, and Max Reading. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to her Sister Kathy for taking such great care of Kaye. They would also like to send their gratitude to the compassionate teams at Spring Gardens Assisted Living and Aspen Ridge Hospice for their unwavering support during Kaye’s final months. Your care and kindness will never be forgotten—you became part of our family. Kaye’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. May we honor her legacy by cherishing our loved ones as deeply as she cherished hers.
