“You are loved and missed.”
Kenneth Lee Foster passed away peacefully of natural causes on Tuesday, June 30, 2026.
Ken was born on November 25, 1951, in St. Louis, Missouri, to James H. Foster and Shirley Beshears Foster. He spent his early years in East St. Louis, later lived in Maryland, and eventually made Utah his home.
Ken proudly served his country in the United States Navy, attaining the rank of Chief Petty Officer, a role he always spoke of with pride. After his military service, he worked for Litton Guidance and Control Systems, Northrop Grumman, and Salt Lake County, where he dedicated many years of service.
Ken had a deep love for the outdoors and found peace in nature. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time outside, but nothing brought him more joy than his fishing trips to Alaska. Those adventures became some of his favorite memories. He also loved teaching his sons outdoor skills and sharing his appreciation for nature, leaving them with lessons and memories they will carry for years to come.
Above all, Ken loved his family. He is survived by his beloved wife, Paula S. Foster; his sons, Cody Foster, Jace Foster, Tyler DeSisto; his stepdaughters, Heidi Rowe (Chris), Mindi Ainsworth, and Kristi Scheel (Devin); and his grandchildren, Kyle, Samantha, Ike, Lilly, Ainslee, Max, Crew, Cash, and Autumn.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, James H. Foster Jr. and Gary Foster; and his stepson, Brad Ainsworth.
Ken will be remembered for his love of the outdoors, his dedication to his family, and his service to his country. Whether casting a line in Alaska, spending time with those he loved, or sharing stories from his life, he leaves behind memories that will be cherished by all who knew him.
Graveside service will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at 1:30 p.m. at Memorial Mortuaries & Cemeteries, 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah.
He will be deeply loved, forever missed, and always remembered.
