Kenneth Wade Reese, age 80. Died on February 14, 2026, in Taylorsville, Utah. He was Born September 26, 1945, In Salt Lake City, Utah, to Lyle M. Reese and Virginia Anna Estella Brown.
Kenny passed away two days after receiving news that he was cancer free. He had beat stage three Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma in the setting of a multitude of additional health issues. The family thanks Dr. Taflin of the VA/Huntsman and the incredible VA infusion nurses for their outstanding care.
Kenny came into the world in 1945, full of spunk and energy. He was a cute little boy with rosy cheeks and curly white, blonde hair. He was very mischievous and kept his mother and sister on their toes. Whether he was hiding in the doghouse or catching frogs in the creek where his sister saved his life when he was only four years old, he was always on the go.
He loved his mother's homemade bread. When he smelled it baking, he would say "mom, I'm hungry for a loaf!" When Kenny was a young man, it was apparent that he had a penchant for cars, especially Cadillacs. He has owned several classic cars over the years.
At the age of twenty Kenny joined the US Army and fought on the front lines in Vietnam to serve his country. "This we'll defend" "Army Strong." He received an honorable discharge. He earned a good conduct medal, rifle marksman and a Vietnam service medal with two bronze campaign stars.
After retiring he enjoyed meeting with family and friends for a nice meal, especially if conversation turned to old cars.
He is survived by his brother, Jack M. Reese; niece, Stormie R. Nielson along with her children and grandchildren. His partner, Wendy Malloy; his dear friends and fellow Vietnam veterans.
He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Carolyn K. Reese.
Rest well Uncle Kenny. Thank you for your loving nature, warmth and kindness. Always our big teddy bear.
