Kevin Smart passed away on September 18th 2023 surrounded by his loving family. He was born in April 1958 in Salt Lake City to Dean and Arlene Smart.
He graduated from Brighton High School. He married Wendy Kalawaia and later divorced, he married Monica Garcia in 1988. Kevin excelled in everything that he did which included bowling, archery, hunting and fishing. He placed 5th in the world at the 1989 Archery Tournament in Las Vegas, Nevada. He was the president of Ted Nugent’s hunting club for several years. Kevin worked for Pike Manufacturing, Associated Foods, and most recently, Rio Tinto from 2014 until his illness in 2023.
His biggest joys were fishing with his wife, hunting, and of course riding his Harley with all his friends. Kevin took great pride in being his wife’s knight in shining armor every single day, and what a wonderful job he did. After their first date on a fishing trip to Strawberry, they never spent a day apart. He was a wonderful friend to all that had the privilege of knowing him, and he had a very large circle of loving friends.
Kevin was a wonderful husband and father, nothing meant more to him than spending time with his family. Kevin is preceded in death by his brother Guy and his grandparents. Kevin is survived by his wife Monica, children: Charly Smart, Christy Wilcox (John) and Leo Smart, his parents, sister Ardean, sister in-law Cindy, his grandchildren and great grandson as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews. We will miss you and you will forever be here with us in our hearts.

Viewing will be held on Tuesday, September 26th from 3-5 PM at the Redwood Memorial Mortuary located at 6500 South Redwood Road in West Jordan, Utah. And a celebration of life will be held at a later date.Service Information
