Kim Farr Jensen

Kim Farr Jensen passed away peacefully with family by his side on June 10, 2023. He was born on January 24, 1958 to Edward Roy Jensen and Leola Farr in Ogden, Utah.
Kim was an avid fisherman and hunter. He had earned his 5th degree black belt and enjoyed teaching others self-defense. Kim had an amazing talent as a fly tyer. He had the opportunity to serve in many competitive fly-tying conclaves, where he received numerous awards and recognition for his craft.
He had a gift for teaching others and building relationships to last a lifetime as he taught many how to tie flies and teaching karate courses for many years.
Spending time with family, enjoying the great outdoors and making friends while teaching his craft were many of his enjoyments in life.
Kim had a love of guns and received a lot of additional training from various police departments and participated in a security detail with the Norway Consulate during the 2002 Salt Lake Winter Olympic games.
Kim was a man of great artistic talent and had a tremendous sense of humor.
He was married to Tammy Taylor in 1976 and together they had five boys: Brandon, Steven, Travis, Chris, and Val.
Kim and Tammy later divorced, and he married Tonya Minson in 2004. Kim gained two stepdaughters from that union, Kylee, and Ashlyn Minson. Kim and Tonya later divorced.
Then on September 5, 2013 Kim married the love of his life Karen Schroader. From this union he gained three additional stepchildren Casey, Cory, and Cortney. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Bountiful Utah Temple.
Kim was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Susan, and his brother, Roy.
Kim is survived by his wife Karen, 10 children, 21 grandchildren, his brother, Lee (Nedene), and his sister Ann, his sister-in-law Marlene, and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 17, 2023 at 11:00 AM at the Layton Creekside Stake Center located at 1480 West Phillips Street in Kaysville, Utah. Friends and family are invited to attend a viewing on the evening of Friday, June 16, 2023 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the stake center and again on Saturday from 9:00 AM to 10:45 AM prior to services. Interment will follow at the Syracuse City Cemetery in Syracuse, Utah.
