Kim Wolsey Gregson, a loving and fun-spirited husband, father, grandfather, brother, son and friend peacefully passed away on June 5, 2008 after a courageous and inspiring battle with brain cancer. Kim was born January 10, 1956 in Provo (Cougartown), Utah to Gordon and Betty Gregson. He graduated from Skyline High School in 1974. He attended the University of Utah where he became the ultimate Utah Man. Go Utes! He served an honorable mission in the Georgia Atlanta Mission where he made many eternal friends. He married his sweetheart and best friend CarolLynn Richards in the Salt Lake Temple on June 15, 1978. Together they raised six children. His family was his passion and meant the world to him. He was his children's biggest fan and supported them in everything. He was a dedicated member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints throughout his life, serving as a Bishop, youth leader, member of the Bishopric, and most recently as a member of the High Council of the Holladay Stake, among other callings. He especially loved and was loved by the youth. Kimmer had a zest for life, contagious laugh and a smile that could make any room come to life. Kim is survived by his wife, CarolLynn, his children: Daniel (Rachel), Michael, Melissa (Mark) Allred, Katie, Chelsea, and Emilee; Grandson, Josh; Granddaughter, soon to be born; Mother, Betty Gregson; Siblings: Lisa, David (Polly), Leslie (Doug) Alvey, Sue (Brian) Roquemore, Julie (Kelly) Hardy, Jackie (Jon) Bailey; In-laws: Bryan and LynneAnne Richards, Shari (Ben) Turnbow, Taylor (Barbara), Robyn (Craig) Stulce, Heidi (Michael) Poulter, Becky (Anthony) Tholen, Jenny (Jason) Rockwood, John (Ashley); and many nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly. He is preceded in death by his father Gordon and his brother Dennis. As a family we express our thanks and appreciation to everyone at Gene Harvey Chevrolet for their love and support. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 10, 2008 at 11:00am at the Holladay 26th Ward, 4601 South Chapel Street (2565 East). Friends may visit with the family Monday evening from 6:00 to 8:00pm at the Holbrook Mortuary, 3251 South 2300 East, and at the church Tuesday morning from 9:30 to 10:30am prior to services.
